Odile is less a person and more of a thing, a concept, an emotion felt under specific circumstances; the rain beating against the window on a day which is grey inside and out, the long shadows of dusk, growing, she is the melancholy of evening time, the way one has to blink against the stark daylight in June. Odile is doubt and depression and darkness personified. She is a witch who takes many shapes, though she favors birds of prey, because they can stand very still in the air, they know how to wait. And so does Odile, she will wait for the right time and the right place, then she will take you.
